Cork International Airport is the nearest airport with nonstop flights arriving from Amsterdam, Birmingham, Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool, London Stansted, London Heathrow (LHR), Manchester, Paris, Plymouth.

Ryan Air is a cut price airline operating from Stansted to Cork and offering some extremely cheap fares on certain seats, according to demand. Please note however, that Ryan Air is a "point-to-point" airline and they advise in their small print, that you should NOT book connecting flights with them since if you miss a connection for any reason (eg incoming RYAN AIR flight to Stansted is delayed due to bad weather or air traffic control), then you have lost your onward connection and must pay again, assuming seats are still available.

Getting from Cork Airport to Kinsale

Cork Airport lies approximately 8km south of the city of Cork on the Kinsale Road. You do not need to travel into Cork to go to Kinsale as it lies in the opposite direction. Taxis cost approximately 25 EUR and the journey takes around 25 minutes. A bus service also connects the airport to Kinsale. The fare is approximately 5.50EUR with a journey time of about 30mins (see .

Arriving by rail

Connections to all major rail-linked towns and cities in the country can be made from Cork's Kent Station. Eleven trains operate daily to Dublin with connections to Limerick and the West of Ireland. Several trains operate from Dublin to all major towns and cities in Northern Ireland. A taxi from Cork's Kent Station to Kinsale will cost approximately 32EUR. A bus service also connects the station to Kinsale. The fare is approximately 6.70EUR with a journey time of about 45mins.

Arriving by sea

There are direct sailings to Cork from Swansea and Roscoff (France), and sailings to Dublin from Holyhead.
